CIMA is the International Microlight Commission of FAI. FAI's microlight activities, in particular World Records and International Competitions, are conducted under the direction of CIMA.

About the British Paramotor Team
It takes a year to select the Members of the British Team.
There are training weekends, flying tasks, fly-ins, lectures from experts in their fields etc and it culminates in the UK National Paramotor Championships. (see http://www.flymicro.com/footnat08/)

Throughout the year information is collected on each potential pilot, things like: flying skills, previous competition experience and other flying licences held are noted down in each 'pilot dossier'. Once the National Championships are over, the position each pilot came in the competition is added to their dossier, and scrutinised by the UK PPG Competition Committee. The Cttee then works out who the top six pilots in the Country are (plus one 'free' place for a female pilot - this was introduced to entice more women into the sport), and these people are offered a position in the British Team (subject to BMAA aproval)

The 2008 UK NATS finished in early June, and we are happy to announce that the British Team for 2008 has been chosen!
